Matt Deegan is Proximo’s Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, reporting to Luis Felix, executive vice president and CEO. In this role, Matt is responsible for overseeing the spirits sales organization, sales strategy, commercial planning & sales enablement.
Matt has been a key leader in driving Proximo’s spirits portfolio transformation. As a core member of the company’s executive leadership team, Matt has played a leadership role in the portfolio reshaping efforts that have made Proximo the world’s fast growing leading premium, tequila & whiskey portfolio. He led the company’s strategic route to market transformation in 2023, consolidating its broader distribution network within multiple strategic national distributors across the US, Canada & Military channels. He has also played an integral leadership role in the company’s category-leading digital transformation, which has established Proximo as the category leader in 3-tier eCommerce and direct-to-consumer as the company builds a global omni-channel portfolio that accelerates industry growth.
Matt has been a standout leader in the company’s cultural and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion efforts, leading the charge to recruit and create development opportunities for diverse talent as well as serving as executive sponsor of the company’s Business Resource Groups.
Matt joined Proximo in 2023 as senior vice president, Chief Sales Officer of US & Canada. Before joining Proximo Spirits, Matt held a number of senior leadership roles in sales and marketing with increasing responsibility at Constellation Brands, Beam Suntory, Campari, and Southern Wine and Spirits.
Matt and his wife Jori reside in Elmhurst Illinois with their three daughters. He is an avid runner who enjoys playing golf, reading and spending time with his family.
